Natural Ventilation

Advantages of Gravity Ventilation:
'The Free Ride'

Natural (or gravity) ventilation systems use the naturally occurring thermodynamic forces in the building envelope to draw fresh air through low level wall-mounted air inlets into the workplace and dispel waste air through roof-mounted exhaust systems.

Properly designed, manufactured and installed, natural ventilation systems offer a number of advantages over power-driven units.

Less costly to acquire/install
Require no power to operate
Are quiet, and do not vibrate
Have no motor-driven parts
Seldom require maintenance
Are self-regulating
Provide daylighting

They also help eliminate interior condensation in metal clad buildings, and will normally reduce or eliminate the need for costly roof insulation.
