Description:
Soaring above Melbourne's St Kilda Road is the new 20 storey Aurora Apartments Building. Under a supply and installation contract, Robertson provided over 2,000 square metres of horizontal Formawall 1000 panel, finished in Pearlescent Silver Coin to the project.
The highrise facade features unusual 45 degree blade detailing on levels 8 to 20. This was achieved by cranking the Formawall panels on site. Due to the gusty conditions, the facade was specially engineered to accommodate high wind loads.
Formawall's long spanning capabilities, light weight and minimal secondary steel requirements were instrumental in the successful completion of the project.
