Description: Head contractors, Multiplex, chose Robertson to supply an integrated wall system for one of the largest medical developments in the Southern Hemisphere - the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct in Melbourne - after the centre was originally specified to be clad in aluminium composite panel. By proving premium Formawall is a price competitive material that offers real advantages over aluminium composite panel, Robertson won the contract for the wall systems to all three buildings on the site. The project, one of the most striking medical precincts yet seen, was designed in association by architects Health Science Planning Consultants (part of the Peddle Thorp Group) and Design Inc Melbourne, with Robertson providing project management and engineering services for the complex facades, which include brightly coloured vitreous enamel feature panels, window systems, sunshades and louvres.
