Aluminium Faced Panel

General Description
Aluminium composites are used to provide a thin, lightweight and durable material for use as an exterior or interior building cladding system.

These products are composed of a thermoplastic or mineral filled core sandwiched between two skins of 0.5 mm thick aluminium. The aluminium can be provided with a range of finishes such as:

  • 25 micron thick PVDF fluorocarbon coating in a solid colour
  • 35 micron thick PVDF fluorocarbon coating in metallic colour
  • Speciality finishes

Features

Lightweight: 4 mm thick material is only 5.5 kg/sq mtr.

Flat: Manufactured to provide maximum bow in panel of 0.5% of length and width.

Wide range of colours and finishes available: Solid colours, metallics, zinc, natural brushed aluminium, stainless steel and copper.
Available in standard and special colours (subject to quantity requirements).

Fire resistant: Special fire-resistant core material available for use in sensitive locations.

Range of sheet sizes: Available in sheet widths of 1220 mm, 1575 mm and sheet lengths up to a maximum of 6172 mm.

Range of sheet thicknesses: Material is typically supplied in 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm thick. Material (for interior use) supplied in 2 mm and 3 mm thicknesses.

Easily machined: Can be easily sawn, drilled, punched or routed using standard wood-working tools.

Can be curved: Easily rolled to produce curves for column covers, facades etc.

Aluminium composite materials are routinely used to provide external facades to new and retrofitted modern, commercial, institutional and recreational facilities. Also used to very good effect for interior applications.
