Description: Suvarnabhumi Airport was designed to handle 30 million passengers during its opening in 2005, with an expansion of its capacity to 45-50 million passengers per annum by 2006. This capacity will be increased to 100 million passengers per annum by 2010.
The new Terminal Complex, in Nong Ngu Hao, Samut Prakarn Province, has a total floor area of 500,000m2, making it the largest airport in the world. Robertson supplied 11,530m2 of Robertson Wall Panels in fluorocarbon painted aluminium and steel with a 50mm thick polyurethane core, which were used as roof and soffit claddings for the terminal building's aerobridges, including the double-decker aerobridges for the new generation Airbus A380 aircrafts.
